Whitney St. Ours is a bi-coastal actor, director, producer, and writer who critics describe as "feisty", "striking", "hilarious", and "exciting to watch". In spite of growing up dorky, Whitney is often pegged for edgy, visceral, woman on the fringe roles- thus allowing her to live her dream of being a badass without the risk or moral complications. Equally adept at humor, she's also fit to play a fumbling sidekick, co-worker with a grudge, or sister with a sarcastic attitude. Her TV and film work has cast her alongside names such as James Franco, Ice-T, Anthony Rapp, Rachel Marsh, and Mark St. Cyr. She appears in national advertising campaigns, industrials, and print advertisements.
Whitney is a member of SAG, New York Women in Film and TV, and is an American Sign Language student currently enrolled in conversational ASL classes with SLC. She plays both acoustic and electric guitar, and is a former member of the all female post punk band, "Kitchen".
Her short directorial debut, The Housesitters, was one of 24 films in 2020 to receive an exclusive distribution deal through Alter, a horror/thriller focused subsidiary of Gunpowder and Sky. The film screened across the US in 2019 & 2020 and earned Whitney a Best Short Film Director Nomination at The Nightmares Film Festival. Her second short YouBuddy (Best Female Short at IndieX Film festival, Semi-Finalist at IndieXFilm Awards) screened nationwide.
Her screenwriting placed at Hollyshorts, Los Angeles Int. Screenplay Awards, Outstanding Screenplay Shorts, Filmmatic, and Female Voices Rock.
